Oh She's Grandma

I liked it. The vocals are quirky. A few lines seem as if you are trying to cram too many words into a phrase, (if that makes sense) Also did you put an effect on the vocals? or how do you record the music. Good Job!

Many thanks for your review. I don't use DAW, in fact not really sure what it is even. I use a very old Yamaha keyboard, and an old condenser mic for my vocal. Hope to be able to afford so new equipment in a few years. I appreciate your feedback though :)

Silent Night by Kerri Powles

I love your upper range. When coming down things get a little pitchy.
Maybe in your DAW you could use something to auto-correct/tune.

I would maybe cut back on the reverb a bit. I like hearing your more cleaner tone.

The eq in the treble range could use some exploring.

Great job!

The song was written by harry warren and did feature in the 1950's movie though im not sure if it was written for it or existed beforehand.

an affair to remember by michael7858

Again, you know my critiques.

I like the runs, but they kind of cut out.
There are a few notes that are out of tune. If you are doing midi, that shouldn't be hard to correct.

Is this named after the movie?

Hi fair comment. Lacked conviction I think this performance . I learned it an hour before I recorded it so I really should have practised more. Since it's a digital piano doubt if some notes were out of tune. The result of playing pairs of semitones which can make the piano sound like it needs tuning. These semitones in some cases were basically wrong notes which would add to the problem.

O yeah some recording tips would be great. I'm pretty hopeless. Need to invest in a couple of good condenser mics . Thanks my friend

Dear R.

This is a really nice song. Catchy and memorable too plus it's simple and that's a good thing.sound quality is excellent making me a bit envious.i always struggle to get good professional sounding audio.

Ha ha yeah solid tempo isn't really my forte. I hear what you are saying. I'm using a digital piano plugged into an interface. It's not ideal.I'm hopeless with technology. I've heard of the condenser mic in fact I've got a mic which may be just that. Thanks buddy.

autumn leaves by michael7858

Again, you do a good job playing the material. Do you play to a metronome at all?

I think having a solid tempo would help with some of the run.

Again, wish I could play the way you do. You are very good, but just reign it in.

Also if you want to keep on doing this, I would invest in some good condenser mics made for the piano. These mp3's are so compressed I can't tell if you are using a real piano or not.

I feel you, im making array of beats, so am experimenting, i usually would let the piano die out but wanted to hit a different flavor, the lead pad your not a fan of im guessing is part of the first and second verses, not sure exactly which, your trying to convey, structure: intro/verse/chorus/pre-verse/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus/outro

Off The Chain by cellxbeatz

I am not a huge fan of the lead pad that comes in halfway through the beginning. I would be able to judge this song a little better if I understood what steps you took in making this song/what you wanted to convey with this song.

I like the third movement. The lead there is very nice, I am listening in headphones and I can hear it panning left and right. I like the whole third section a whole bunch.

Ok, the ending. The song would sound SO MUCH COOLER, if you didn't have that last part on there. Just let that piano part creepily die out.

Great job, looking forward to hearing more from you.
