Not a bad piece, but seems more like modern Egypt than ancient. Seems out of place for the contest. Good score reflects the work itself, not related to the contest

Cute piece that could well serve as a background piece for a film. Technically is an electronic keyboard acoustic. Rating is for the musicality of the piece, not a relation to the contest at hand.

Good Day Edward, I love you posted compositions, you have a true talent that is needed these days. I'm just writing to tell you that my Charity the Sick Musical Souls site is back up and running for pre-artist to check out. The site will not be posted to the world until after Sept. 1st 2015. But if you are still interested in helping a charity while getting major world wide exposure and increased fan base and listeners ALL FOR FREE!! Yep all on me mate.. Then check out The SMS Project at:

www.thesmsproject.webstarts.com

If you like what you see and read, then write me back. The next stage is easy and I promise it's everything as an artist you're looking for. And it is spiritually for-filling.

Remember there is no commitment. This is just a test to show you how it would look. K Cheers

Rings in the Sky by Edward Schaffer

This is a brilliantly structured and performed piece. It's sucks the world is sooo closed to genres and yet they force most of us to be defined and denied by those say simplicity of genres. I personal could make 2 country songs, a hip hop ballad and a Musical banter for just this one composition. I think you could expand is what I'm getting at mate. I must say to be honest the one bloody thing I hate about this site and others like it is the fact that all this talent is pooled from all around the world and yet all we do is compete against each other. It seems like so many of us could join forces and be a force. I say this to you because I have heard so many get pieces from you and many others and I would do this killer production of unknown masters of music. I think you have a great skill that is very well crafted as shown in this piece. The flute type play is magnificent, like an old oriental western of distress, empowerment and loss. I love it and felt it all the way through. I would hit a big Asian drum at the end for a stamp of satisfaction. :} Great job again mate and please keep up the good work. If I can get it together and you are interested please stay in touch. I have a lot of plans before cancer claims me as it's own. And unity is more important to me than fame. I think that change is possible only if people like us stay away from the nor and dominate the abnorm some complete that it leaves nothing for the industry to run to. But most of us seem to only want to be on the same stations, shows and tickets. I don't want to be on stage with fame people, I just want to be on stage. Why dream of touring with people who don't share that same dream. On that I say farwell & Cheers mate
PS. Please remember and spread the word, that CANCER IS A FIGHT NOT A SLOGAN!! Cheers :} And thank you for blessing my time and heart with another true piece. I enjoyed this very much just as I have your other pieces. A great body of work mate, to be proud of

I thank you and may God bless you and yours to a place by his side here on this Earth. Cheers and I'll hit you after I give the sites a listen..

Quiet Night by Edward Schaffer

Nice trumpet play mate, I wasn't sure you'd hit those notes clean, but not only were they clean..they were precise & smooth. Nice transitions and very well played breaths. Made we want to pick up my trumpet and get down wit ya. Naah, I'm lying I wanted to just Sax it out on this. It's so smooth and flowing. I would say this though KILLER note at the end.. NIIICE. Great job mate. It blues night at the pub and Edward Schaffer is the live at..hell yeah drink are on me.. lol Cheers mate

Symphony #22, 4th Movement by Edward Schaffer

Chapter 4 of the book Symphony #22, Op 236

Bravo mate, really bravo. It was well constructed and you played it flawlessly. At moments I was like, no way this guy is this good to stay consistent, I have to listen loud & clear. But needless to say..BRAVA!! I am very impressed. I was gonna just say that, but come on the flute play is so brilliantly place in there and it was a nice shocker to an already lovely piece. And for God sake who doesn't love a dramatic drop in tempo and melody and a hammering surprise with a burst of melodies from flutes to strings to at moments seemed to be a desire for some sort of drum. But that's not to say it needed it, I'm saying it gets a hold of you and leads you through a wondrously guessing journey of symphatic joy. And are you serious, did you really ride that into a harp string..very well placed and played. A nice surprise for a nice trip. Thx for the ride mate it was truly Grand. Keep up the good work

Rings in the Sky by Edward Schaffer

Nice melody - Just feel more needs to be added on..vocoder or fairlight type orchestral sound when the theme builds - mid point of the piece. Definatley has a movie/themetic feel to it...which is what I think was intended. Just broaded it- Nicely done

Sweet Melinda by akkrys123

Nice song the pan flute (?) seems a little out of synce in places, otherwise it is quite nice. I remember a Melinda (Mindy) I had a crush on some years ago. Blonde Swedish cute. Overall nice.
