Hi,

I love the mix of geographic and cultural influences in this song. The staccato violin was a surprise but fit perfectly. I like to do the same thing. i tyend to mix Asian and African influences when composing music in the World genre.

Thank you for a terrific listen. I really enjoyed it!

Alan

Hi,

I really enjoyed this. The vocal and backing tracks are splendid. What impressed me most was the mixing and arrangement. You have a great sense of knowing when to emphasize and when to back off. And the arranging is superb. The several different movements blended perfectly from on to another.

It was a pleasure to listen to this. My only concern is that it quit playing before it reached the end of the song.

Wishing you the best,

Alan

Hi,

This is very pretty and relaxing. It has a quiet yet powerful element about it. the fingerpicked acoustic 6-string was quite nice! Thanks for a great listen and good luck in the contest!

Many thanks for your lovely review and rating Alan, which as always is much appreciated :)

Childhood

This very meditative and relaxing. And the piano is wonderful. Very nice, indeed!

Indeed, it is interesting how we do resort to being more like children as we age. I'll be 70 in march but so far, so good!

Thank you for a lovely listen! best of luck with this,

Alan

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you so much for such a lovely review and generous rating.
I was saddened to hear of the troubles your wife and yourself have been going through. My prayers are with you and your lady wife. God Bless you both.

Here's praying for a good 2017 for both of you.

Hi Keri,

I am terribly late with this reply but life had been very hectic the past 3 or 4 weeks. My wife is severely handicapped and has had issues, as well as all the follow-up treatment for my cancer. but, all is pretty quiet noe.

This is simply lovely! You are very talented and it's always a pleasure to listen to you!

Hope 2017 is your best year ever.

Hi!

Congrats on the win. I've not been around much lately ... just finished 8 months of chemo and my stamina & strength aren't so good!

Anyway, wanted to congratulate you and let you know how much I enjoyed your playing. Sweet!

Geisha by Kerri Powles

Hi Kerri,

Simply beautiful! It's lightly spirited with just the perfect touch or Asia. The background strings is the perfect nuance to support the ivories. I totally loved it!

There's vistually nothing I can think of that would make this better ... perhaps bringing the strings slightly more forward in the mix? Rgardlewss, it's beautiful as is.

Wishing you the very best,

Alan

Sorry I've been also tedious because I've been renewing my studio implanting a new garden. I'm very glad you're back in ready to go and take care and have a good one, songwriter47. I just finished writing a new song in recording and I think it's really good it's a children's song called "Hey!".

SongWriter47;
I really enjoyed his present progressive acoustical jazz.
It has brightness and vibrancy and the instrumentals are recorded very well.
Thank you for sharing and posting and may the Lord be with you always my friend.
