Greg Ryan is a pianist, harpist and music producer born in Newport, South Wales. He started playing piano at the age of seven and soon shyed away from the methodical practices of classical music beginning composing for piano at age 13. His music is regularly used in independent films and projects both in Britain and throughout the world and is currently working on two feature length films currently in post production. Greg Ryan set up Red Scarf Records in 2010 and signed three artists in as many months. In the same year, Greg released his first piano album "Scribblings" which has now sold in 19 different countries.
Following the success of Red Scarf Records, Greg launched Red Scarf Classical in 2011 with a vision to promote and work with a new generation of classical musicians and composers. Greg is currently anticipating the release of a further two studio albums for solo piano.
Greg regularly composes and performs for piano, harp and guitar and synth and has worked on projects in genres as far ranging as gospel, country, jazz, blues and folk as well as classical. |
