Dragonfly by Kerri Powles

This is a mood piece, but kinda without any tension. This is to sentimental and Disney like to me. Well, still it fits the form and have musical skill...but fuck, this is boring.

Dear Old Man by dbsoares

I like the songwriting, what a great melody and the general arrangement with the guitar (well, hate that interrupting keyboard). And this vocal performance is stunning. I like the lyrical subject matter, but not the lyric that lacks lyrical depth. I guess the songwriter knew this person and is holding it to strong instead of writing a more abstract lyric of loneliness.

two minute wonder by Ray Brookes

Better produced with less midi-sound could make my bell ring. Great arrangement with nice progressions and great guitar work. It might sound a little to intermezzo like, and leaves me a bit unfulfilled.

this kind of love by Ray Brookes

Good melody and great songwriting. But i consider the arrangement is not my cup of tea. The midi keyboard sound is simply to tacky and kind of bad taste.

He who dwells in the shelter Ps91 by John David Coupland
Chapter 10 of the book Christian praise

Great authentic touch of folkish traditionalism. I am not a God fearing man, but still the lyric makes a great thunderous celebration. I believe in this sincerity.

Hou'oli (Happy) by dbsoares

Nice jazzy feel, and a composition who tickles the mood in more then one way, but still a little to much on the dull sunny side of life. But, hey then again ice cream tastes well to?

In My Dreams by dbsoares

Great sunny melody line, and well played but it needs some tension and maybe that is why it reminds a little to much of Homer Simpsons God pleasing neighbor Ned Flanders.

Love Is the Power by dbsoares

This is well written "The Carpenters" pop, but unfortunately smothered in a kinda tacky production, that puts out every kind of fire this song may have. This is only for the innocent, but I am a sinner.

morning over kakadu by Ray Brookes

This is good craftsmanship, but lack surprises. Well, maybe surprises are not not needed if you consider this small piece as i kind of stilleben or a Disney score "the forest awakes" kinda stuff. This is a sentimental piece of pop culture.

powder in the spoon by Ray Brookes

I´t would be nice to produce this properly, and gite it a sounds it deserves. Anyway this sing set the mode, and that's the most important thing. Some parts of the arrangement seem to get a little to pleasing for my taste and in general this music dancing on the edge of a cliff of conventionality. But still vary well done.
