Force of Habit by JTomaino

Great production and great vocal. Love that B3 organ sound; cool drum sounds too (EZ Drummer?) This is a very good song and very tastefully arranged. Do you record in your own home studio? Wherever, you have a great sound; well done.

Good Lord! Where did this come from? Great song, great vocal and great production. Did I say this was great? Sorry ? meant to say excellent.

Melinda (instrumental)

Hi Alex and well done in recording this instrumental. The acoustic guitars sound very nice and well recorded. There are a couple of things though that I might point out. First of all I don't think the harmonica is doing the track any favours; it seems to me to be superfluous to the themes in the music. Also, I'd personally like to hear some rhythmic metre, perhaps a subtle drum beat keeping time as the overall thing sounds a bit loose IMO. These things are all subjective of course and only my own opinion for what it's worth. Anyhow, good luck in the competition and again well done in composing this track.

Silent Night by Kerri Powles

My favourite carol and probably everybody else's. Nicely sung, Kerri with an emotive interpretation; sounds like an angel singing down to me from the clouds. Pitching on a melodic tune like this is so difficult (well ? for me anyhow) but you handle it so well.

KYAV News Outro by Scott Harvey

Cool groovy track, Scott and well put together. Sounds like you had great fun playing/recording this one. What synth do you use? Sounds like a vintage Moog in places.

It's Just An Art Form Edit #3 by Noah_Ohne

Astonishing musicianship here, John. It's like Zappa meets Yes. I can't imagine how anybody could even conceive a piece of music like this, let alone play, record and produce it to such a high standard. Great work; well done.

Home Back East Edit #6

Cool soul/bluesy track, John. I've been pretty slack in reviewing artistes' songs on this site as I spend most of my time on other sites. Anyhow, this is a great song and I like that weird solo flutey synth sound. I followed the lyrics through and I wanna clarify something ? you took the car, the wife, the dog and the guitars yet left the kids behind? I always wanted to visit Chicago but not in the Winter. Another question ? what DAW do you use?

He Died For Us by Kerri Powles

There is only one on this site who can create music like this. Beautiful melodies and chordal structure that again reminds me of Vaughan-Williams. I don't go with the religious connotationspersonally but the music alone is very moving.

Autumn Mist by Kerri Powles

Lovely picture, lovely poem and lovely music, KP. Are you mixing in mono? Love the sonorous sound of the strings and the whole piece has a Delius feel to it or maybe a little Vaughan Williams. Great writing; well done.

Puppy Love by Kerri Powles

Nice music, Kerrie and love the photo. You still hammering away on that old Yamaha? Still got its magic! Well done.
