As the Finest Lyricist Of All Time, I find the lyrics very simple and ordinary but the good thing about it is of course it is easily understood. The title itself can stand as the entire message. I like the feel of the intro, the voice reminds me of those old songs which are already like decades ago and the sound in here seems not polished, but I may consider granting you the very huge honor of collaborating with me!

This song needs work on many levels, but there are so many good things in it too. I believe that it would work better if it were more simple - just guitar and vocal and a touch of the harmonica. The vocals went brilliantly with the whole folk sound. It had Appalachian Mountains written all over it to me. Many of the phrases you used were very well written and created an image which is really what they need to do, so I know you are capable of that. The biggest issue for me was that I needed to understand that you were packing up and leaving because of hard times...or at least this is what I am lead to believe based on what is there. I'm not really sure why you are leaving, but I know that you are. These lines - "...know it's a good song and it'll take me as far as I can go it all the way." are funky in that I don't think you would normally talk to someone like that (grammatically) - it's almost as if you wanted to say it would take you as far as you can go, but then wanted to say it would take you all the way...2 separate ways of saying the same thought combined and sounds a bit confused.

Regardless, I think you've done a good job so far and with some work, I think it's a pretty good song. :)

I really like your vocal in this. You have a great voice for country music! Loved the timbre of it, and your diction is really clear for this type of singing. Very impressed that you played all the instruments, however to me they didn't seem quite 'together' a lot of the time, a bit like they weren't quite sure what they were meant to be playing, however that being said, essentially I thought it was a great song. I loved the lyrics and vocal. I was torn between a 4 and 5 star for this one to be honest, but went for the 5 in the end because of the way you put your vocal across, that definitely won me over. Tightening up on those instrumentals however would give it real star quality in my view, and personally I think this song deserves that I really do.

This is a very difficult melody to review. I really do not capture any specific rhythm here, and it is a little like going into a restaurant, order all the meals and eat them at the same time. The thing that stands out for me in this song is the reverb that is placed on the vocals.I like that ;-)

I think I have a hold on where you're coming from with this track. The lyrics are good, the chord progression is good and the lyrics are well delivered.

The only comment I have for you to improve this would be to back off of the vocal effects a little bit. Your voice penetrated the mix very well, but the coloration of the effect seems to affect the timing in places. Also, and it's just my opinion, but I think you have a unique voice and it should be heard clearly.

Good job.

You played all the instruments on this? You are very talented. This song reminds me of one of the great all time writers,Bob Dylan. Not bad company to be in.I like this.I would consider this to be more folk style than blues.Keep writing and recording.Good to hear from you.

Nicely in the blues mode. Instrumentation: percussion effects, guitar, harmonica created the right feel to the song. Your voice delivered the lyrics really clearly - great diction. There was nice variation using reason I didn't award 6 stars was that I felt the tune for the first three lines of each verse became just that bit too repetitive. Others might say it was for emphasis and plenty of blues writers use it. Just take it as a personal opinion. Good luck in the competition.

I will say this it is quite a feet in itself to play all of those instruments. trust me I know. More or less to play them all not only well, but equally well to the managablity of your own skill. This is a tough thing to accomplish and to stay dedicated to. I say this because I applaud you on your efforts and your dedication to do this type of complex track in the first place solo. But you pulled it off very well and you played them all equally skilled. i even enjoyed the vocals on this track as much as I did the ingenuity of the project. The harmonica is obviously a winner no doubt, but I do think you could greatly benefit if you would except that we need you in country.. LOL country need more flavor, originality and funk of the traditional style to keep it fresh and commanding as a presence in music. But anyways great job on this piece mate & thanks for the share. May you be blessed in any field of genre you choose to be a part of. Cheers
